Future Events

The Haworthia Society usually organizes one, UK based, main event per year. These events are, alternately:

A Show and a Lecture, combined with the Biennial General Meeting.

A Weekend Convention, normally held in Leicester.

The Haworthia Society's next Biennial General Meeting & Show will be held in Birmingham, on Sunday 5th October, 2008.

This event will, as usual, be held in conjunction with the Birmingham BCSS Branch Cactus & Succulent Show at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

This will make a good day out as there will be both Shows to see, together with the Haworthia Society General Meeting and a Talk. Also, you won't want to miss the Trade Stalls. For UK members, Schedules for the Show will be included in the June edition of the Journal.

Would Members please note that the B.G.M. will commence at 2.00 p.m.

After the BGM there will a lecture entitled, Methods of Propagation, by Alan Rollason. Alan is a founder member of the Haworthia Society, and an excellent grower of Haworthias which he will use to illustrate his talk.

The Tenth Haworthia Society Convention will be held on Friday to Sunday, the 16th to 18th of October, 2009.

This will be, as before, at the Hilton Hotel, Leicester, UK. The programme is currently under construction, but, as this is our tenth Convention, expect some really exceptional Overseas Speakers.
